My Initial Idea

The title that i have thought would be most suitable for my magazine is "Pink" as i feel that it incorporates a typical 'girly' and 'feminie' idea that i feel is truly missing from the magazine market these days. I feel that the title automatically will make the audience think of girl related aspects, which i feel will allow part of my magazine to be portrayed, though in future development, i may consider having a music related slogan, in ordeer to fully encompass my magazine's genre.

I believe that my magazine will be orginal, due to the fact that it wont be as querky as others that have currently been made. Magazine's such as Kerrang and NME aim to focus on individuality, which i feel is a very difficult to capture, since each persons idea about indivuality is different. Therefore, by being more focused towards my audience, i believe that i will be able to have a clearer idea of what my target market will want in the magazine itself.

Although my magazine is to be based around the English culture, i feel there will be an Americanised element, which complents the 'pretty in pink' idea that follows the title of my magazine. This aspect however may seem unpopula to a variety of audiences, therefore, i will try to include a support towards England and Great Britian, which i feel is very modern and could be seen as a brand towards my magazine.

Along with the 'cute' idea of this magazine, i aim to make it smaller than normal magazines, which will create a unique selling point. This idea will accompany the typical 'girly' attitude, and i feel will therefore compliment the pink and white theme that will run throughout the magazine. Also, since the magazine will be smaller than others, the costings may be lowered, since less pirnting and paper will be needed, meaning that the magazine could be priced at an affordable amount of £1.80, which is seemingly lower than magazines such as Kerrang that charge £2.20.
